Planning children's parties can be viewed the same way as planning family vacations…getting there is half the challenge. With birthday parties there's the planning, deciding on a theme and decorations then the oh-so important activities. With vacations there’s the planning, deciding where to go, deciding on lodging and the oh-so important activities. All of this makes the days leading up to the event seem a little stressful. Kind of like the days leading up to vacations.
Remember children's parties don't need to be elaborate -- kids will be happy with a small party as long as they are the star. Even simple parties require planning and the sooner you start the better.
First things first – ask the birthday child what type of party they want and try to involve them in the planning.

THE DAY OF
